Charles Guérin letters and manuscripts, 1895-1898.

Letters and manuscripts by Guérin tipped and laid in Guérin's Le coeur solitaire (Paris: Mercure de France, 1898). Letters include two ALS from Guérin to Rachilde ("Madame" Alfred Vallette), complimenting her on her books, and one ALS to Guérin, with envelope, from Madame Carmouche. Manuscripts include one holograph draft, corrected, of sonnet XXX, tipped in on page [80] and facing the printed version, one typescript draft or copy of a poem entitled "Mains pleines de douceur," and a printed version of the poem "Vers la maison de vie" (Paris: Mercure de France, 1896). Accompanied by two portraits of Guérin, including a printed reproduction of a drawing by Jean Veber.
